How to read the estimate
US stock dividend calculation formula
We use the latest available announced regular dividend including announced payments with a future ex-dividend date. Special dividends and unconfirmed scheduled amounts are excluded. The annual figure repeats this payment at the stated frequency; it is not a forecast or a trailing 12-month total.
One payment = shares × dividend per share. Annualized = one payment × payments per year. Monthly average = annualized ÷ 12.
Hypothetical example: 100 shares and a 0.50 USD dividend per share per payment. These are not actual dividends of any ticker.
| Payment frequency | One payment | Annualized | Monthly average |
| Monthly · 12 payments/year | 50.00 USD | 600.00 USD | 50.00 USD |
|---|
| Quarterly · 4 payments/year | 50.00 USD | 200.00 USD | 16.67 USD |
|---|
Prices, currency and rounding
Investment amounts use the latest stored USD closing price. KRW amounts are converted using the latest stored USD/KRW rate. These are not live execution quotes. Division uses 24 significant digits with HALF_UP; calculated shares are rounded down to 8 decimals. Final amounts use HALF_UP to 2 decimals for USD and whole won for KRW.

Data dates and issuer announcements
The calculator uses stored prices, announced regular dividends and USD/KRW rates. Each can have a different reference date. Check those dates in your result. For issuer announcements for JEPI, JEPQ and SCHD, use the official pages below.
A dividend is cash income, not total investment return. Share prices can fall by more than the dividends received. Taxes, fees and split adjustments are excluded from this estimate.

Frequently asked questions
How do I calculate US stock dividends?
Multiply your shares by the latest regular dividend per share to estimate one payment. Multiply that payment by the assumed payments per year for the annualized amount, then divide by 12 for the monthly average. The average is not an actual monthly payment schedule.
Does the calculator use the latest dividend or a trailing 12-month total?
It uses the latest available announced regular dividend, including declared payments with a future ex-dividend date. Special dividends and unconfirmed scheduled amounts are excluded. Repeating this payment for a year is an assumption, not a forecast or a trailing 12-month total.
Are the results after tax?
No. All results are pre-tax. Withholding taxes, additional personal taxes, trading fees and currency exchange costs are excluded. Your actual account payment can differ.
How are USD and KRW dividends converted?
KRW investment is divided by the stored USD/KRW rate and USD share price to calculate shares. USD dividends are multiplied by the same rate for KRW results. The result shows the price, dividend and rate dates. Stored data is not a live execution quote.
Will buying today qualify me for the displayed dividend?
The estimate does not establish dividend eligibility. Check the announced ex-dividend date, payment date and your broker’s rules separately. A payment with a past ex-dividend date is a calculation reference, not a dividend you can claim by buying now.
Are JEPI, JEPQ, SCHD and the other supported assets recommendations?
No. The list defines this calculator’s supported stocks and ETFs. Dividend equity, income, real estate and bond products have different risks. Dividend yield alone does not measure total return or the risk of losing principal.
